Building Immune Systems for Busy People (AKA you!)

I don’t know why this is a consistent issue with busy adults but I know I am totally guilty of this over and over again…...neglecting myself while caring for all the people!

We spend so much time (especially as moms) pouring into the people we love yet we don’t spend time making sure we are in the best position to do that. If one more person tells me I need to put my own oxygen mask on before putting anyone else’s on my head will explode!

It’s not that I don’t believe this is true. It’s that I am busy and so it’s difficult to add more things to my schedule. Sometimes there is so much advice out there with a long list of things to do that I just dismiss it all because it seems too many things to incorporate. Even though there may be a few things I know I should do, I feel like a failure, so I don’t do anything. Please tell me I am not alone.

So here is the list of things you need to do to get yourself in a place to handle all the craziness that is your life. They are both equally important and they are both something you can do no matter how heavy your load is.

  1. Get adjusted regularly
  2. Sleep

See! Totally doable and super important! Should you eat a healthy diet? YES. Get some sort of pleasurable exercise? YES. Take probiotics and Vitamin D daily? YES! So go ahead with those too if you can.

  1. The great thing about our office is that we can work around your schedule so we can get you in early, or later, and we care about you so when you’re here, you are getting the attention you need. Drs Sherri & Stephanie pour into their patients so there is not a one size fits all approach to the care you receive. They get to know you, so the care you receive is for YOU. 
  2. Sleep, sleep, sleep! I know it’s hard because for many of us nighttime is the only alone time we have but trust me in this ...getting at least 7 hours of sleep is a GAME CHANGER! So choose to make this a priority!
